OK! I'm envisioning the home screen with two main pieces: one being a quick action the user can take (to recognize something given) and the other being a feed of recent activity by anyone else.

The functionality isn't done, like many other things on these pages, but I think it's a good enough conversation starting point... and I can always remove these items from the task file if we decide to go a different way.

So I think this is ready for comments and/or merging. (BTW, I propose we do a workflow where the reviewers simply approve and the assignee does the merge.)
