&Company- advance integrated Healthcare through education, research and clinical services. <BR>Dept - Serve internal and external customers by providing financial, budget, financial aid, tax reporting and compliance. Payroll and Accounts Payable services. ::&I prefer to lead by example. I am courteous and responsive to requests for information. I meet with my team regularly to discuss pending issues and get their input and concerns. <BR>Provide guidance and feedback. <BR>Promote staff development - seminars, group webinars. <BR>We have been updating our dept policies and accounting manual as a team. <BR> <BR> ::&I dont know that I use any specific leadership model, but having a military background I have a strong sense of responsibility for my team and their performance. I believe I treat everyone fairly and consistently. I have a strong team, I dont need to micromanage. ::&Learning to work more collaboratively with my team. We have been updating the Accounting Manual and developing policies as a team. <BR>Team members are open to attending seminars and offsite training to improve their skills. <BR>Recently we migrated to a new version of ADP and all members of the dept. worked extra hours even on the day the University was closed due to snow. I hadnt even considered that I might be the only team member on the call with ADP, I knew my staff was dependable and conscientious.::&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::I am aware that when I am in the middle of working on a project or spreadsheet and someone stops by my office I force myself to look up and smile. I dont like being distracted and I have to remind myself that part of my job is customer service.&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::We meet monthly as a team.&?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx?4::&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::Need to do a better job recognizing good performance. I do follow up with individuals when their are errors to determine how they occurred and how to avoid similar mistakes going forward.&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::Most members of my team are very knowledgeable and skilled in their particular area.
