Corpus: 1 Enoch

Overview

1 Enoch is a composite work preserved primarily in Ethiopic, with Aramaic fragments found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. It contains multiple sections traditionally identified as:

  • Book of the Watchers (136)
  • Book of Parables / Similitudes (3771)
  • Astronomical Book (7282)
  • Dream Visions (8390)
  • Epistle of Enoch (91108)
