&Small+group...%0D%0ADiscussion-based+learning...%0D%0AProductive+logistics+and+atmosphere...%0D%0AVariety+of+quality+instruction+and+instruction+formats,+including+customers,+consultants,+and+vendors.::&Conference+calls+are+a+necessary+compromise+in+our+world+but+nonetheless+they+need+be+minimized+(as+I+know+you+know)+as+they+impact+effectiveness+and+learning+productivity.+My+chief+complaint+regards+this+edition+of+TAS+was+having+to+CC+Guru+Rao...+both+because+he+was+the+most+anticipated+speaker+on+the+slate+(for+me)+and+because+I+was+quite+unable+to+discern+his+speech+over+the+phone.::&The+instructor+lineup+was+overall+very+good.++As+a+matter+of+fact,+with+just+one+exception+I+would+rate+all+speakers+as+HIGHLY+EFFECTIVE.++The+one+exception+was+the+%22quality%22+speaker,+who+I+think+was+Dale+Reeves.++Dale+was+GOOD.::&Dale+was+up+against+stiff+competition+from+a+speaker+eval+standpoint.++He+would+look+better+by+comparison+to+a+set+of+speakers+more+akin+to+myself+then+that+which+he+aspired+to+peer+up+to.++And+from+a+%27materials%27+viewpoint,+it+might+be+more+interesting+to+shift+his+gist+to+that+of+performance+measurement+vs.+quality+as+I+allude+below+in+my+suggestions+for+upcoming+topics.++Such+supposes+that+Dale+and+his+Texas+peers+have+instituted+some+performance+measures+in+technology+solutions...::&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::&YES::&I+think+you+might+ponder+two+areas+for+future+TAS%27%3A++(1)+Application+development+and+modernization+technologies,+and+(2)+I/T+and+Business+Alignment+thru+I/T+Performance+Measurement+and+Management+(i.e.+Balanced+Scorecards+and+Executive+Dashboards+for+I/T+Service+Measurement+to+the+Business)::&19+Years%0D%0AGood+listener%0D%0AMainframe+%22solution%22+sales+and+consulting::&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::How+is+this+%27box%27+different+the+question+11%3F&Travelers+need+varying+levels+of+support.++But+a+nice+travelers+assistance+document+could+be+helpful.++Something+with+both+maps+and+directions+for+getting+to+and+fro,+but+also+something+with+directories+of+local+services+and+points+of+interest+that+your+travelers+might+need+and/or+enjoy.::&You+don%27t+want+a+quote+from+me...+cause+I+don%27t+talk+so+good.::&As+you+know,+I+have+forwarded+invitation+information+for+TAS+events+along+to+my+local+executives+list+for+several+years+now.++I+think+in+the+spring,+several+are+%27aligned%27+to+attend+should+conditions+thereupon+allow.::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx::
