&Johns Purpose to ot provide for the care and maintanance of building 3090 and its grounds. To provide additional support as needed for missions, to help with the misc duties (such as work orders). Basically act as building custodian.::&Power, courage, knowledge, structure.::&I believe Johns uses Autocratic Leadership. He is prior military and that is what he knows well. It fits his model of how he manages.::&I am not sure John measures himself in leadership improvement. I think John is a great sounding board for what others might be doing wrong and how they may need to improve compared to some of the ex-military was of leading. He has always given me good advice and feedback. But i truely think John is just so over worked and trying to play catch up all the time that its hard for him to take the time to self reflect and see what is and isnt working for him. But I am taking the survey so this might be the first step.::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::while i fully agree with this at a peer level. I am not sure how well this is received at a worked to peer level within his own branch since he manages by autocratic leacdership, do as i say.&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx?4::John does give the person he is talking to all of his attention. He doesnt let anything distract him.&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::I know John does this at a Peer level, always. I dont know if he does it within his own branch and if so how well does he do it. I know he does it to his team lead.&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::When time permits it, john does ask for other peoples opinions. when if it gets down to it, time doesnt, and you need to move out, its the old military way. get it done.&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::I cant say he does this with his own people, but from the person i know he is. He stands for most of the army vaules, which means he will point out this type of behavior and fix it.&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::I think some of his folks have a hard time seeing the vision of JSEC and their Branch, why we do somethings the way we do, etc. so it gives them a cop out to blame something else when things go wrong.&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::again, this is hard since John and most of his guys are ex military. its get the job done and worry about the non tangable stuff later on.&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::I am going to say yes on this, i beleive he does.&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::I cant say yes or no to this. I know he helps his team lead alot. I know then his team lead hels others. again, john is over worked at a branch level and mentoring anyone would be tuff.&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::As a whole i dont think most chiefs know where JSEC is going. I dont know if i know the mission/vision/goals of this group. so how can we exspect out people to.&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&How to be more of a people oriented/relation style leader. work on his communication skills with his subordiantes. find some time to do more self reflection.::
