&It was an excellent high level overview of the industry as a whole. Even though it was maniframe-centric, it dealt with many pertinent areas of interest to me.::&No neagatives, but the least valuable was the wireless class. It just didn%27t pertain to anything in which I%27m involved.::&It%27s nice to be able to interrupt the presentation when a question arises. All the instructors were very accessible.::&My favorite instructor/topic was Dennis Wunder.%0D%0AThe Linux presentation could have been a whole day with some detailed comparisons between Linux on mainframe VS Linux on distributed systems.%0D%0A%0D%0AAlso, some detailed comparisons of available mainframe apps VS what%27s available on NT/UNIX platforms.%0D%0A%0D%0AGuru%27s presentation was also good, but much was over my mainframe head.::&?0?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx::&?0?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx::&TRUE::&1) Can you get Linus to speak%3F%0D%0A%0D%0A2) Personally, I would drop the wireless....but everyone else may have really enjoyed/needed the info.%0D%0A::&Since 1981.%0D%0AStarted in IT as visual database designer.%0D%0AIn 1995 started some small sys admin work, but still focused on DB design. In 1998 moved to full time sys admin work. In 2000 began current job as manager of %22managed services%22 dept.%0D%0A%0D%0Astrengths.....have worked on many platforms.%0D%0A VAX, Perkin-Elmer mainframes, TI standalones, %0D%0A Specially designed systems for simulation %0D%0A industry, NT, UNIX (all flavors), Linux%0D%0A%0D%0Aareas of responsibility.....technical sales, %0D%0A system config consulting, manangement of %0D%0A implementation of HW/SW installs and daily %0D%0A admin for customers.::&?0?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx::&Can%27t see how you could improve without making the class free and picking up attendees at the airport. Really a first rate experience.::&Definitely....%0D%0A%0D%0A%22The TAS seminar exceeded all my expectations. The instructors were excellent, and class content was timely and well-planned. I walked away with a much better understanding of the current state of the IT industry and where it%27s headed. I would whole-heartedly recommend this class to anyone who is involved in making IT decisions...small or large%22::&I%27ll get some names together and forward them on.::
