peaks at 200K at quarter beginning.
The major application load is students registering for classes and re-arranging their class schedule. This is done with a web interface into CICS. The Oracle work covers three areas including, determining course availability, a repository for Degree Analysis Reporting, and web user authentication.

to internal load again would be divided between CICS and Oracle. The CICS transaction totals would be around 200K on CICS and this would be updates to student information (ie- grade change, address change, phone# change, billing inquiry, schedule inquiry, financial aid application status,). The Oracle work related to internal clients would be primarily datawarehouse inquiry and this would be about 300 transactions per day. There are about 350 employees logged onto our mainframes concurrently with 70 or so active.
