Reliability is the best value obtained from a Mainframe environment.::&Being the second largest Bank (as I understand it), we support millions of customer 7/24. Nationwide I have no idea how many millions transactions that will be. Millions of credit card, loan applications and other banking transactions are process 7/24. ::&Again, Mainframe is our main environment and I have no idea of the number of daily transactions. Bank branches are connected to the Mainframe and thousands of employees go through this connectivity. ::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx?5?xxx?xxx?xxx::We just migrated I believe four of our Mainframes from z900 to z9s. I am not sure but I believe we can support zAAP on those. the other are z900.&I cannot answer the above question, my responsibilities as mainly MVS Systems person dont get me involved in the type of desisions descibe in the above question. I do know that when more capacity is needed, our Company will not hesitate to get whatever is needed to insure good response time and service to our customers.::&Mainframe is our main environment and I dont have a need to influence others to use the Mainframe.::&We recently completed what was called the "Texas Conversion" where this state was integrated (access wise) to others. This was a huge project that involved many support and client areas to work together. It when through a "simulation" process for several months until its final production Implementation which was very sucessful.::&Excellent support.
