Remediating a Test   Remediating a test allows the test author to deliver special instructions as the question is presented deliver feedback when the examinee response is incorrect deliver feedback when the examinee response is correct deliver feedback regardless of the examinee response   The feedback can be given immediately after the examinee submits his or her response or as a summarization at the conclusion of the test   Notes: Special instructions delivered with the question presentation are not repeated at any other time. Remediation is NOT delivered if the test is terminated a test proctor. Remediation is NOT delivered if the test is defined as UNSCORED. Remediation is NOT delivered if the test is defined as an ADAPTIVE type.

Remediation delivered with the Question   This form of remediation is presented at the bottom of the page when the question is displayed to the examinee. The test author would use this delivery to give instructions specific to the question, or for explanation of the question format as is the case with tutorial tests.

Remediation delivered with Incorrect Answer(s)   This form of remediation causes the remediation text to be given when the examinee responds with an incorrect answer. For questions with multiple throwoffs (incorrect answer options) the remediation can be specific to each individual throwoff. For instance:   Given the Question: In what year did Neal Armstrong take the first step on the lunar surface?
