Rarely are the instructors similar. Such is the case here - each person has their own personality and traits. To me this is what makes a conference interesting and memorable. At Wachovia, this was obvious years ago - new management put all groups under one senior manager to alter the behavior. Today GURU talks about HYBRID model - this has been in use for many year. Example - ONLINE banking is a distributed application that relies on the mainframe (where the customer accounts and DDA processing exist). SO the two exchange information for a transaction. Years ago I learned at that time (when the applications had been in production for years) the distributed engineers had not once talked to the mainframe engineers....Overcoming obstacles - politics, fear of job security, and funding - all challenges of the future success - a seminar on avoiding and overcoming challenges seems appropriate these days.
