Exam Overview: - The CPSM Exam contains 150 multiple-choice questions. Each question has only one correct answer.
- This is a timed exam. You will have three (3) hours to complete the 150 questions. A clock in the upper-right corner of your screen will display the time remaining to complete the test. The clock automatically stops during the time it takes to download and display pages and questions on your computer, so Internet response time does not count in your 3-hour time limit.
- Once you begin the exam, you must complete it. You are not allowed to pause or stop the exam and return to it later.
- If for any reason you get disconnected during the exam, the system has recovery logic that will to allow you to continue at the last question you were viewing. Simply restore your connection, log back in to the SMPS Online Test Center, and you will be allowed to resume the exam at the point where the failure occured.
General Instructions: - Navigation Buttons: During the exam, sequentially navigate from question to question by clicking the Next and Back buttons.
- Reviewing Questions at end of test: During the exam, you may click the checkbox marked Click here to review this question at the end of the test. This checkbox appears with each question. The review list will be accessible to you when you reach the last question on the exam, where you will see a DONE button and a JUMP TO button in addition to the BACK and NEXT buttons. Caution: Only click the DONE button if you are ready to exit the exam. At this point click on the JUMP TO button to use whatever time remains to review any questions that have been skipped or previously answered. The drop-down box will display the question number and the first few words of all 150 questions, in the order they appeared on the exam. Any question you left unanswered will be preceded by the letter U. Any question you marked for later review will be preceded by the letter R. You may return to ANY question by scrolling to it in the drop-down box and clicking the JUMP TO button. OR, you may highlight Next in Review List (R) or Next Unanswered (U) to go to the next such question without scrolling. When the full question is displayed, you may answer it, change your previous answer, or leave the question without changing your answer. To return to another question, scroll to it in the drop-down box and proceed as above. You may continue to review questions for up to the total three-hours allowed for the exam, or you may end the exam and submit your answers by selecting the DONE button.
