&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::I have set up a nurses office in our Jackson cottage in a large walk in closet , however I do not have a desk , but a card table that I purchased at Walmart. When I chart it wiggles so much the lamp sometimes falls. It is not large enough to spread out my charts , many times I am documenting w/a chart in my lap. It is a small space , but would be better if a desk was built or purchased and built in the room, maybe in an L shape so that I can spread out and do my job. &?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::I wish that I could have more hours to complete the work that is necessary for kids with such a high level of care. I do a great deal of my work , ie: group notes , etc on my home computer as I do not have one for my use or the time to do them while at work. As the only nurse at Jackson , it is difficult to do a perfect job in the time I am allotted to be there.
I would be happier if I were the one to administer the evening medications at least during the week, instead of depending on residential staff to do this nursing task. I feel as through staff resents that they have to do my job. Not all staff is comfortable giving meds and I am not comfortable that they do so under my nursing license. I would be very happy if my hours were increased to at least 30 hours per week if that is possible so that I could administer evening meds before leaving for the day.
&?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx?4::My supervisor Jill Shafi does give me praise for the job that I do with my groups. I was told that I am creative with the boys and my nursing groups. Was great to hear because I try to make them interesting and educational for them. &?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?2?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?3?xxx::I feel that the residential staff and the nurse (me) are divided and that I am not always treated as a member of the team. &?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::I have not been formally spoken to about my progress or had the opportunity to have my ideas and needs addressed. &?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::
