&?0?xxx::&&Multipart complex forms. Not so much eliminate, but standardize as we have many duplicate forms that are manufactured in different ways.::&form design, graphic design, labour intensive jobs - presentation/information packages, manuals, binders.
Digital print, low volume color.::&The more standard a form, the longer the run length. Ongoing change in the organization sometimes makes us leary about printing long runs even though the usage validates a long run.::&Digital B/W, Color, Press b/w, color, custom print, forms, brochures, manuals, cards, letterhead, preprinted envelopes, labels, posters...::&Print on demand, custom work designed by the customer....::&Our organization has a contract with a single print vendor. Our org. is made of health care facilities all delivering the same services. We had over 70 print vendors supplying for the various communities.
The major reason for consolidating to the one print supplier was that all the print is manufactured in their plant. Sub-contracting was becoming a major headache when trying to maintain quality, delivery times and cost.::&My need to reduce duplication and increase standardization will hopefully reduce the number of products we purchase, although the volumes may increase of those we do purchase.::&I would like to see a product that enables us to incorporate variable data with standard templates for things like annual campaigns that require community specific information (without having to develop a large number of originals).::&Our print supplier is our partner. Our expectation is that we work together to reduce the cost of printing in our organization. As our supplier improves/develops the delivery of service, staff trust increases. Our supplier warehouses our forms, monitors inventory, sends monthly reports on inventory and slow moving forms. They make recommendations as to whether items should be POD or kept in stock. They host the website where our staff place orders. They provide telephone customer service...
They are receptive to suggestions we make on how to improve the process.::&forms, 1 and 2 sided, black ink
(high volume/usage forms used on patient records::&Provide an online calculator much like they do for loans and mortgages where I can get my own estimates when I need them.::&Turnaround time (delivery), quality (consistent), price (reasonable)::&Provide detailed reports on usage, costs, type of printing summaries etc.
Monitor usage and suggest status changes when appropriate (i.e form should move from POD to Keep in stock etc.)::&Overpromise and underdeliver (dont say you can deliver in 3 days if you cant.
::&Two::&We consolidated print vendors to reduce the cost of doing business (POs, invoices etc), group print runs (like forms) and avoid subcontracting.
This was done through an RFP process.::&poor quality::&Artwork - some vendors not willing to provide our files without significant admin fees.::&Ask your customer the purpose of their print request and who their audience is. This will assist in determining the best product for the customer.::&Contract in place with two vendors. Purchasing department is not involved. Print requests are funnelled through an internal Document Services department that attempts to consolidate the print buying for our organization. Our vendor provides a monthly invoice that is currently charged to the Document Services budget. The central budget allows us control over what and how print is being manufactured.::&make a request to have a site visit, visit our company website to discover more about the services we offer::&N/A::&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx::&::
