&the ability to ask questions and get interaction instead of just a speaker speaking at you. more relevant questions for our place of work were addressed::&the ibm technical presentation was quite technical (which is fine) but was presented in such a way that I found it hard to follow - what was the point.::&I liked all the instructors. The one thing that stuck out about Johns presentation was that 95% of Johns examples (and there were quite a few examples) for untrustworthy, unreliable, unyeilding, security breaching acts by IT people - were women (Im sure in the IT field, as a percentage, he could have found other examples that included men).::&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::I really appreciate having the softcopy of all the presentations.&I would have liked more information on security (hardware, software, certification, accreditation, etc..) rather than the focus being on the security position.
<BR>If there are examples of costs where companies have switched from mainframe to midrange because they thought it would be cheaper - and now they find it is even more expensive - I would like to see this type of analysis.
<BR>::&?xxx?1?xxx?xxx?xxx::&::&::&&?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx?4?xxx?xxx::graduated from 3 year computer science college diploma, worked as a mainframe programmer (cics, idms, etc...) for 6 years. Worked as a lan administrator and service desk for 3 years, created a software product that is used in a few private businesses (Visual Basic). Certification team leader and manager for 8 years of multi-platform applications.
