DOS and Linux is for all CIS students no matter the majaor concentration. We use Windows based tools only after the student understands what is happening. Our Linux I seems to have more students due to across the curriculum required but there are more Windows specific classes that if combined would exceed Linux I. ::&Linux I and Linux II. You can go beyond the point and click to show the why and how, plus since there is so much free software all students have access to it. The information available on the web for Linux/Unix help and documentation makes for a dynamic teaching environment. ::&YES::&YES::
