DOS and Linux is for all CIS students no matter the majaor concentration. Linux is used more for teaching the internals and theory.::&?0?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx::&?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx?xxx::&Linux with g and Java give the student a better feel for what is really happening from compile, link , and execute. Our Linux I seems to have more students due to across the curriculum required but there are more Windows specific classes that if combined would exceed Linux I. ::&Linux I and Linux II. You can go beyond the point and click to show the why and how, plus since there is so much free software all students have access to it.
